Nov. 18, 2005 - Orlando, FL -- College Board and the Sloan Foundation Announce Plans to Expand Annual Survey of Online Learning, the 2005 Survey of Online Learning concludes that the breadth of online college courses may soon rival traditional face-to-face offerings. Survey results show more than three out of five institutions offering face-to-face undergraduate (63%) or graduate (65%) level courses also offer courses at the same level online. -- more...

Apr. 5, 2005 - UMassOnline today announced that online education program revenue and enrollments grew by 30 percent and 19 percent, respectively, in fiscal year 2005 (July 2004 - June 2005). Revenue from the University of Massachusetts' system online programs was $16 million, up from $12 million in FY 2004. Enrollments reached 17,554, up from 14,702 in FY 2004. -- more...

Sept. 3, 2003 - Online Learning is as Good as Being There - From the Ivy League to tiny community colleges, a majority of institutes of higher education say online learning is just as good as traditional, face-to-face classroom instruction. Nearly three out of four academic leaders say learning online may be better within three years. A comprehensive survey released today by Babson College and the Sloan Consortium concludes that online learning is at historically high levels and will continue to grow at a rate of nearly 20%. -- more...
